We will discover the magnificent city of Marseille, starting with a visit to the 18th-century Palais Longchamp and enjoying its majestic fountain. We will make a stop in the Vallon des Auffes, passing by La Corniche, it is a walk that runs along the city of Marseille along the coast, through the Catalan beach area and the small port of Vallon des Auffes. It is a very nice and simple walk to travel from the center of Marseille.From there you can see the views of the Frioul Archipelago and the If Castle.
We will stop at the Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, a must visit in this 19th century monument, much loved by the inhabitants of Marseille, which offers, from the highest point of the hill, an exceptional panoramic view of the city called “Cité Phocéenne “
We will make a stop at the Abbey of San Victor, from the 5th century, from there we will have a magnificent panoramic view of the Saint Jean and Saint Nicholas Fortresses that protect the entrance to the Vieux Port, the oldest port in the Mediterranean.
To end our tour in Marseille we will visit the Vieux Port, the heart of the city, admiring its modern renovation by the architect Norman Foster and its L’Ombrerie pavilion.
