Upon your arrival at the port, the guide will pick you up and we will begin the tour with a visit to the Hippodrome Square built by the Roman emperor Severus.
Then we will go to the Blue Mosque, in front of Hagia Sophia, famous for its Iznik tiles and the only one that has six minarets, this was built in the name of Sultan Ahmet. After a short walking tour, we will arrive at the Church of Hagia Sofia built by Constantine the Great and considered a masterpiece of Byzantine art. After lunch (by free) we will go to the underground Cistern; it is the largest covered cistern in Istanbul and was built in the 6th century during the reign of Justinian and used to supply water the entire complex.
After the visit to the Cistern, we will continue our tour to the Grand Bazaar, the most attractive shopping center and the largest “souk” in the world with about 4000 antique stores, jewelry, gold, carpets, leather goods and souvenirs.
We will conclude the excursion with the visit to Topkapi Palace, the imperial residence of the Ottoman sultans, where we will discover pieces of Chinese porcelain, weapons and also a calligraphy section (the Harem is not included in the program).
At the end of the excursion we will return to port for the farewell.
