Itinerary

Upon arrival of your cruise, the guide awaits you in port, holding a Shore2shore sign.

Starting from the port we will make the panoramic tour passing by the Marina Zea, Kastela and Microlimano, continuing towards the area of ​​Faliro, where the oldest port of Athens is located. We will see the Olympiakos stadium and the Peace and Friendship stadium as well as other sports facilities that hosted the 2004 Olympic Games.

Crossing the great Syngrou Avenue, we will reach the center of Athens to enjoy our first stop; the Panathenaic Stadium, also known as Kalimarmaro, which was built by Lycurgus in the 4th century BC. C. and rebuilt in 1896 according to its original plan. This is where the Olympic flame is carried every four years.

We will continue by the bus to Olympieion (the temple of Olympian Zeus) which dates from the 6th century BC. C., one of the largest temples of Corinthian style, and the Zapion, which is located within the National Gardens, we will continue towards the Hadrian arch (2nd century AD) that divided the ancient city of the Roman and the city of Hadrian, the statue of Lord Byron, the Constitution Square, where we will see the Presidential Palace built by Otto the first of Bavaria and, today, it is the Greek Parliament.

Opposite the Palace is the Monument of the Unknown Soldier where, two soldiers are on guard permanently. Next we will pass through the neoclassical buildings of the University, the Academy and the National Library.

In Athens, the cradle of European civilization for twenty-five centuries, the panoramic view of the city is dominated by the rock of the Acropolis. We will go up to visit it (entrance to pay on site) and see the main buildings that compose it: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erectheion and the magnificent Parthenon.

Before returning to the port of Piraeus, we can visit the old area of ​​Athens called Plaka, where we will have free time (depend on the permanence of the ship in port) to make purchases, try the Greek cuisine, or visit with the same ticket the agora of Acropolis, the Temple of Zeus and the first theater of European civilization (Theater of Dionisios).

Located at 300 mts. from the Acropolis, there is the New Museum of the Acropolis, which you can visit freely (tickets to be paid on site).

At the end of the tour, return to the port of Piraeus passing through Syngrou Avenue.
