Take a trip to the past when you visit the old town of Nuraghe di Palmavera and the walled city of Alghero with this tour to stop your cruise in Sardinia.
This excursion leaves from Porto Torres towards Capo Caccia for a photo stop.
Along the panoramic road, we will arrive at Nuraghe Palmavera, a settlement that began to be built around the 14th century B.C. The interesting enclave, with the remains of its palace, one of the first structures to be built and is composed of two towers. This point is surrounded by at least 50 mostly circular cabins. The main tower of the Nuraghe that still retains its dome shape, is prior to the year 1100 a. C. The complex, which was abandoned in the fifth century BC, due to fire, shows the different phases of social life and the political organization of the tribal community.
Do not miss the “Meeting Room”, where political debates and magical religious services were held.
At the end of the visit in the Nuraghe area, we will go to Alghero, which has Catalan origins, since it was part of the Crown of Aragon in the twelfth century. In Alghero we will make a guided walking tour of the city, touring the main points of interest, such as the interior of the Church of San Francisco, with its magnificent cloister before returning to the port for farewell.
