Port Overview
Most cruise ships visiting Split (Croatia) dock at the city’s main passenger port, located near the historic center and Diocletian’s Palace. The port is one of the busiest on the Adriatic coast, serving both cruise ships and ferries connecting Split with nearby islands (such as Hvar, Brac, and Korcula) and mainland destinations like Dubrovnik and Rijeka.

The cruise terminal area consists of several quays and piers that can accommodate large and medium-sized vessels. Larger cruise liners usually dock at the dedicated cruise pier, while smaller ships and luxury yachts may use the inner harbor berths or anchor in the bay, with passengers tendered ashore.

Cruise port facilities include a modern terminal building with basic passenger amenities, customs and security services, and easy access to taxis and excursion buses. The port is directly connected to Split’s waterfront promenade (Riva), allowing cruise passengers to explore the old town on foot within minutes.

Ongoing development projects aim to enhance the port’s capacity and improve services for both cruise ships and ferry operations.
